Why join RSVP if I already volunteer for an agency? Print E-mail
RSVP is a free membership that supports your volunteer efforts as well as the agencies that utilizes RSVP volunteers by providing:
Free supplemental accident and liability insurance at no cost.
Annual recognition events in each county.
Nomination for special recognition at local, state, and national levels.
Quarterly newsletter.
Volunteer opportunities in your area.
 
How does your membership benefit our community? Print E-mail
Through RSVP your hours are collected and sent to state and federal authorities.  This data helps:
  • Promote the delivery of services.
  • Gain recognition of social, public, and charitable services in our area enabling their continuance.
  • Bring funding into our area through federal, state and private grant makers.
  • Address and improve “quality of life” issues.

 
What if I become ill and can’t volunteer for three months or more? Print E-mail
If you will notify the RSVP office, you will be placed on our inactive list and continue to receive the newsletter.   When you are ready to volunteer again, just call us and you will be returned to the active list.
 
Can I volunteer at more than one station? Print E-mail
Yes, we record your hours for each station separately and require a signature at all stations.

 
How many hours do I have to volunteer to remain an active member? Print E-mail
You must volunteer one hour every three months to remain an active RSVP volunteer.   This keeps you on our mailing list and your insurance in effect.
